Trek Supercaliber 9.8 XT Mountain Bike 2021
Combining an efficient chassis with a high-performance groupset and carbon wheels, the Trek Supercaliber 9.8 XT Mountain Bike is both fast and fun, perfect for XC racing or rapid mile-munching rides.
The key to its performance lies in the 60mm of travel from the unique IsoStrut design, which offers good traction and control but with less of a weight and stiffness penalty than longer travel bikes. With 100mm of travel from the FOX Performance 32 Step-Cast fork, the front end is equally well glued to the ground, soaking up bumps and ensuring that there is grip aplenty in the corners.
Carbon is very much the material of choice elsewhere on the bike, with the handlebar, seatpost and rims all made from it, keeping the weight down and performance at race-worthy levels. The Bontrager Kovee Pro 30 wheels and XR2 Team Issue tyres are both tubeless-ready, and the extra width of the wheels works well to give additional support to the sidewalls in fast corners.
Shimano’s XT M8100 12-speed groupset provides nearly all of the performance of the range-topping XTR components with a far more wallet-friendly price. The 10-51t cassette has ratios for steep hills and fast descents, whilst the shifting is typically Shimano, being fast and precise at all times. XT level hydraulic disc brakes help keep control of proceedings with tireless performance and easy modulation in all weather conditions.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
