Cervelo ZHT-5 XX1 AXS Mountain Bike 2023
As is to be expected from a brand that has a long history of success in road bike racing, Cervelo’s ZHT-5 XX1 AXS Mountain Bike is aimed unashamedly at riders who relish maximum speed and efficiency.
Using their wealth of road bike manufacturing experience has helped them to produce a frame that only weighs around 900 grams, yet is plenty strong and stiff enough to cope with punishing climbs, difficult descents and finish line sprints. The geometry balances speed and handling, with a 69° head tube angle and 457mm reach (size L) allowing the bike to be ridden confidently on technical XC courses whilst clearance for 2.4” tyres provide the potential for wide rubber for extra cushioning or grip. A clever headset design routes any cables internally through the frame without the need for holes in the carbon and the threaded bottom bracket will be a welcome addition for any mechanics, professional or amateur.
RockShox’s SID SL Ultimate fork is their XC specialist option, highly tuneable with low weight and responsive bump absorption. SRAM’s XX1 Eagle AXS 12-speed drivetrain is fully wireless, with exceptionally fast and accurate shifting that can’t be corrupted by cable stretch or contamination. The AXS smartphone app connects to the system for extra information and customisation of certain options.
The podium-worthy wheels are carbon Reserve 28 XC which are incredibly light at around 1,400 grams and strong enough for the rowdiest of XC races. These are paired with fast-rolling Maxxis’ Rekon Race EXO tyres for a package to match the frame’s high-speed credentials. Both the wheels and tyres are tubeless-ready. Finishing kit includes a carbon seatpost, carbon handlebar and Prologo Dimension NDR Nack saddle for an out-of-the-box race-ready machine.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
