Description

The Marin Alpine Trail 2 Full Suspension Mountain Bike – 2026 is an enduro bike made for steep, rough and fast trails. Its Series 4 aluminium frame gives you adjustable geometry, a mixed-wheel setup and the option to fit a 29in rear wheel. A 170mm RockShox Zeb Select+ fork works with 160mm of MultiTrac LT rear travel and a Vivid Air Select+ shock. SRAM Eagle 70 gears, Maven Bronze four-piston brakes and Bear Box storage complete a tough and practical build.Key Features and Benefits:Adjustable Series 4 aluminium frame: The adjustable headset changes the head angle by Β±0.75Β°, while frame flip chips alter the bottom bracket height and chainstay length. You can also use the stock 29in front and 27.5in rear wheels or fit a 29in rear wheel. These adjustments provide 12 frame configurations, so you can set the bike for more agility, stability or ground clearance.RockShox suspension with 170mm front and 160mm rear travel: The Zeb Select+ fork uses a stiff chassis to hold a precise line through hard impacts. The custom-tuned Vivid Air Select+ shock works with the MultiTrac LT linkage to provide smooth initial movement and firm support deeper in the travel. This helps the wheels follow rough ground while keeping the bike stable during larger hits.SRAM Eagle 70 drivetrain: The direct-mount rear derailleur works with a 10-52T T-Type cassette, Eagle 70 chain and Eagle 90 shifter. Its wide gear range lowers the effort needed on steep climbs while still providing a high gear for faster sections. The direct-mount design also supports firm and consistent gear changes on demanding trails.SRAM Maven Bronze four-piston brakes: Four-piston callipers apply strong and even pressure across the brake pads. Large 200mm rotors at both wheels increase braking leverage and help manage heat on long descents. This gives you controlled stopping power with less force needed at the levers.Enduro-focused Maxxis tyres: The front Assegai uses a MaxxGrip compound and an EXO+ casing for strong steering grip and added sidewall support. The rear Minion DHR II combines a MaxxTerra compound with a DoubleDown casing for braking traction and greater puncture protection. Both tyres are tubeless compatible, which can improve grip and reduce the risk of pinch punctures.Integrated Bear Box frame storage: A storage space inside the downtube holds the supplied bag, which is made for a TPU tube, small pump and tools. Sealed internal cable routing, a mud flap and chain-slap protection help keep the frame clean, quiet and secure. This lets you carry key repair items on the bike without filling your pockets or riding pack. The Alpine Trail 2 provides the control needed for hard enduro riding without forcing you to use one fixed setup. Its steep 79Β° seat angle places your weight over the pedals on climbs, while the short 35mm stem gives the steering a direct feel. The X-Fusion Manic HC dropper has size-based travel and adjusts in 10mm steps, so you can set the saddle clearance to suit your height and riding position.Choose the Alpine Trail 2 when you need long travel, strong braking and a chassis that can adapt to different trails. Select the right frame size, set the wheel and geometry options, and prepare it for the terrain you ride most.Size GuideS: 160-168cm / 5’3” – 5’6”M: 168-178cm / 5’6” – 5’10”L: 178-188cm / 5’10” – 6’1”XL: 188-193cm / 6’1” – 6’4”
